    hey all,
GF has a 2001 Astra that had its battery replaced today and now the radio isn't working. Display on the dash is coming up SAFE.

Any suggestions on how to get it working again?

You probably need a keycode. It might be in with the car or radio manual (if you have them), or there could be a sticker with the code somewhere in the car (there was one in the boot for mine, not sure if that's standard practise or something a previous owner did). If you can't find the code there's people on the internet who can get it from you (you may need to pull out the radio and get the serial number), or you can go to an Opel dealer and get it (they will probably charge for it).

    Aha!

That answers my question. Car battery ran down which prompted this.

    Mmmm.
