Ok, started to use WLW for blogging but it's lacking 1 feature that would really make my browserless blogging perfect.

The ability to upload media with a post without having to actually put the media in the post itself.

I'm using the latest version of Wordpress, and when you want to create a new post, there is the "upload/insert" at the top where you can add images, video, audio and media. Now when you add media here it ties it to the post but it doesn't place it actually in the post. It means you can use the media tied to the post for other things, in my case I need to use some uploaded pictures with each post for some custom fields which my theme uses for managing the images on the homepage.

Recently WLW has added custom fields support, but now I need a way (other than FTP as I'd like the media to be tied to the post) to add media to my posts but not have them automatically display within the post itself. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Any advice or opinions would be really appreciated.
