There's been countless best this and that of 2009 lists and threads. Lets look ahead to the future! What are peoples hopes for 2010? What albums are you really looking forward to?

I cant wait for the Villagers album. They're the first Irish act that I've been excited about in a good while (although i like what i've heard from Hunter Gtaherer, i've yet to get his album)

Fingers crossed that The Avalanches follow up to 'Since I Left You' is actually coming out next year!

Really hoping Interpol, Klaxons, Arcade Fire and Foals come back with great records.

Pavement reform, so hopefully they'll pop an album out as well.

Hopefully Jonsi's (of Sigur Rós fame) debut will be as good as expected.

    New Massive Attack album!

The National!! Can't wait for that. Villagers too, should be brilliant. New Beach House, new Arcade Fire (maybe), probably new Fleet Foxes, something from Justin Vernon hopefully and the Vampire Weekend album is shaping up nicely.

Interpol hopefully will impress me again, I really want them to.

I'm cautiously looking forward to LCD Soundsystem. Love them to bits, but I didn't groove with the last single at all and I hope it's not a signal of things to come.

Hugely looking forward to Final Fantasy's Heartland. There were rumours earlier this evening that it had leaked, and when they turned out bogus it broke my heart. :(

Libertines to reform. My life would be complete.

Can't wait for The National's new album. Tough task following up Boxer but then again I said the same about Alligator.

Can't wait for Fleet Foxes follow up too and Noel Gallagher's solo album.

Can't wait for Vampire Weekend's new album, from the few tracks released so far it will be awesome. I might get the new Massive Attack album as my mates are always raving about them but I have never been able to get into them.

New LCD could be amazing. Heard a thing a while back about James Murphy saying that if it were released this year, it would have been the best album of the decade.
Which means he thinks it's better than Sound Of Silver. Yes please.

Looking forward to the new Battles one too.

Apparently, Heartland is to be released under his own name, Owen Pallett, as will all further releases. Because it's being released in Japan, he's finally decided that calling himself "Final Fantasy" could be confusing.

I wish he'd realised this sooner, he could have saved me many dozens of Google hours.

Really looking forward to the Vampire Weekend and LCD Soundsystem albums.

Hoping the new Interpol album will be better than the last.

A new Fleet Foxes album would be only lovely too.

I've been waiting for Massive Attack's album for the past two years. Hopefully it finally comes in 2010. Also looking forward to new stuff from Interpol and Klaxons.

Also I'll give the new "Smashing Pumpkins" stuff a listen, even though it's now just Billy on his own.

Would love if Cat Power released something but I don't know if she has any plans.

I want a new (and better) interpol album, foals, sigur ros, and so i watch you from afar, would like to hear something new from Bon Iver

I heard she was intending to release an album next year and she's going to do all the piano and guitar bits as opposed to letting the band she usually works with do them

Arcade Fire's #3 is probably the one I'm most giddy about, I have to say, and an accompanying jaunt to Dublin would be nice. Anybody who's worked on it seems rather excited indeed about it, so signs are good.

As much as I'd love for the Avalanches one to finally make it out, I won't hold my breath.

Radiohead have been recording, can't wait for that to come to fruition.

I'd love if The Flaming Lips played a proper show here instead of a festival job.

    Follow-up to Loveless? :pac:
