They are by far the best rehearsal studio i ave been to. You have a very good choice or guitar amps, if you need an amp, and its not just an MG100, or an MG50! there are JCMs and AC30s!

Thats what clinched the deal for me! I noticed they had a vox combo on offer too, which is not something you often see in rehearsal studios.

I am a female drummer that jams with a band there and they are really nice and helpful guys in there and the gear is pretty good too. Definitely recommend it. And good prices! We have also used their recording facilities for rehearsal and its pretty good sound for a mic in the middle of a room.

Would be great for listening back to a new song. Usually when I try to record practice at our current rehearsal studio it sounds like a hoover getting bet up by a gang of saucepans. Albeit a toneally pleasing hoover with in time saucepans. Whats your band called?

Our band is called Vinyl....a covers band. There are a few recordings on our website ( www.vinylcoverband.webs.com ) that were done in troubadour to give you an idea of the quality. The singer is bit muffly but hey you cant have it all!

Sounds good. Definitly one of the better rehearsal recordings ive heard.

    Hiya man,

If you want a decent rehearsal place, I recommend this place http://muzzlemusic.ie/home/ . Its got decent kit and amps for use (or you can use their top of the line amps for only an extra E5 for the jam).

What sells this place for me is that the rooms are big. Give ya loads of room to jump around in, and the rooms sound good too! Good prices too..... check 'em out!

and no...I dont work for them or anything! :D

Was gonna suggest one but cant argue with the price of trubadour! Cheap as chips and looking at the photos looks like the rooms are decent also. Do the amps cost extra out of interest? If not its one hell of a deal!

lmahoney, will have to have a listen to the recordings ya did there. Cant go wrong for 5 euro!

It costs about 50-60 quid for a session with 2 guitar amps, a bass amp, a drum kit, a PA, and mics. I didn't really like it at all, tbh. I didn't find the sound great in the rooms and I just didn't like the vibe, tbh.

I do, on the other hand, recommend Dedsound Studios out in the JFK industrial estate in Red Cow. It's out near X-Music, which can be handy if you need to grab anything on your way out. It's a lovely place where everything is taken into consideration as far as the room accessories are concerned. You get your room with whatever you need for 50 euro with no quibbles. By far the nicest rehearsal studio I've ever been in. (We're regulars out that way and we trek across the city just to get there!)

    I'll second that!

Clean space, good gear and nice guys too. Always looking to upgrade and make it better, unlike other places which you just watch slowly fall apart and turn to S**t.

I'll second that been round a few rehearsal places in my time and Dedsound is top notch. These guys have the best of gear in the place and the rooms are excellently kit out. They have just opened more rooms and put a list of new kit on their website www.dedsound.ie Pound for Pound these guys are the best studio in Dublin. I also travel across the Liffey to rehearse there! Will also be looking shortly for a new drummer if anyone is interested?
