Hi i'm just getting back into training, had my knees done, i have been running all week 3km just getting back into it lightly. What time should i be doing it in. I am between 15 and 16 minutes. The route i do is 3km door to door measured it in the car. Done that in 4 minutes.... alot easier. What should i be doing it in. Was reasonably fit before knees have done nothing in four months. Cheers

    7 mins 20 seconds.

Though seriously, 15 mins is fine if you're just getting back to fitness. I wouldn't rely on the car for accuracy, you should be able to get a more accurate measurement from something like www.gmap-pedometer.com .

Up the training to at least 3 times a week and up the distance to at least 5km I reckon. No point in trying to do speedwork until you have the baseline fitness.
