do the same channels come with both boxes or whats the story. was thinking of investing in one of them but wasnt sure if one is more advantageous over the other.

    thanks

The Programme Guide on Sat4Free will be more detailed than that available on Free-to-air box. If you are only interested in english language channels (Astra 2/28.2E) and you find the programme guide information useful it is probably the way to go. A Free-to-air box will allow you to select Astra 2 or other satellites(if you are interested in channels in other languages).

I have Sat4Free and it allows you to tune in any channel available free to air too. As said above the main advantages are that the EPG (electronic program guide) is full 7-day and the box pretty much does all the work for you; adds new channels, retunes and auto-updates.

If you want to watch the usual channels and have a decent EPG Sat4Free is great.
Even if you want to tune into other channels S4F can do that too so I don't see any advantage in other FTA boxes.
Genuine UK FreeSat has some advantages if you want to select a particular region as your default setup, fair enough.

Came across a Sat4free box in Tesco the other day ....standard def box retailing @ €300! This appears very expensive compared with (e.g) a Comag/Lidl box retailing @ c.€60 or am i missing something/
