    Hi Everyone
Recently I read some interesting info on the anti-inflammatory properties of cherry juice. I get bad migraines and some people have found that the juice can help reduce the frequency of attacks.
Im willing to try anything and as I love cherries this sounds like one of the more pleasurable cures Ive heard in a long time.
So does anyone know where I can buy cherry juice in Dublin?

I think I saw some in JC Savage in Swords, but it's the sort of supermarket where things can fly out and not be replaced, so don't bank on it.

Why not just eat cherries? Whole fruit is always better than fruit juice.

Thanks EileenG I may be in Swords over the next few days so Ill look that place up.
Yes I suppose I could get some cherries but I want to start to use them regular as in every day. They are out of season and are very expensive. I reckon that there are more cherries in a glass of juice plus its handy being able to stock up and know I have a ready supply.
Funny thing, dont know if its a coincidence or what but I clicked on the ad that was on the top at the bottom right of this page and its for guess what....cherry juice. :D Its not there now they keep changing. Hmmm

Cherry juice is not something I drink, so I can't really comment, but I do know there are a lot of other things out there with good anti-inflammatory effects. Do you take a fish oil supp?

Oh I love that stuff is the concentrate you want? My health food shop does it so maybe just ring around, they're usually cool about ordering stuff for people to.
My mum orders her's online from the states in bulk and gets it very cheaply that way, let me know if you want me to get the company name for you.
Otherwise like Eileen said there are many foods involved in inflammation in terms of both promotion and prevention so have a good look around you might be able to find something eually effective and a lot cheaper.
I personally think it's a better strategy to eliminate foods that tend to promote inflammation but this takes a big comitment to change your diet.
For migraines I'd look into having an allergy/intolerance test and check out Tyramine as it's a vasodialator that affect blood vessels around the brain and has been linked to migranes in a lot of sufferers. It's in a lot of foods.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
If I find the juice helps and I think I may want to bulk buy Ill certainly contact you khrystyna100. Cherry juice is lovely stuff all right. Ive tasted it in Canada.

As for the fish oil EileenG, I know! I know! and I might well wind up taking it, but
fish oil :p yuck. Cherries :D yum

Seriously though Ive been attending a homeopath for years and he hasnt given up yet. In the meantime Im looking around. Listening to my body Ive actually had a craving for cherries before I heard they may have a connection with the relief of migraines. Its a long shot I know but one of the more pleasant diversions which can do me no harm.

Theres a guy in Dublin who does biofeedback, it's really good for stuff like migraines as it teaches you techniques that you can use anytime yourself to alleviate the syptoms/pain rather than depending on seeing a practitioner. His first session is free to!
My mum made stewed plums with cherry juice concentrate in it last time I visisted it was so good! Also lovely stirred into yoghurt. I love all things cherry flavoured too dunno why it's not a more popular flavour in Ireland, they love it in Europe!

Put it into the fridge or even the freezer and you won't taste it, or get any fishy burps. If I'm having tuna salad, I sometimes make the dressing using liquid fish oil.

Eastern european food shops stock cherry juice.
    Tymbark is a good brand.

Thanks Moonbay. I had a look in whats called the Polish section of my local Tesco today and hey I found Tymbark cherry and apple juice. I will go to a specialist Eastern European shop over the weekend to see if I can get just cherry juice.
Had a look in two health food shops and they didnt have any.
Will give what I have a go for a while and see how I get on.
