Speculation this could happen is mounting. Would you be interested. Would you care? Is it 12 years too late?

The only way this could work IMO is with both men as managers for other wrestlers a la the Trump/McMahon storyline. Maybe HHH and Michaels?

Or the Hart Dynasty with Bret Vs DX with Vince DX?

Its fresh and new at least. And we might finally get to draw the line under all that Montreal boll*x.:pac:

Hart Dynesty vs DX and Vince would be awesome, that way the young guys get a fantastic rub no matter what, but could Bret and HBK bury the hatchet for this match to work?

Angle vs. Bret is a dream match to die for! Shame Angle's career only got started when Bret's ended.

Is the talk of Bret and McMahon doing something based on Bret's metion by Miller last night?

Please stop getting your hopes up. It's depressing and aggravating to hear these rumours. They're complete lies and just wishful thinking.

    Bret cannot LEGALLY wrestle
, as it was stipulated in his Lloyds of London Health Insurance payout. It was a proviso in the payout. He'll NEVER wrestle again.

Please, please stop spreading rumours and facilitating the false hope. I'm a huge Bret fan but HE'S NEVER WRESTLING AGAIN. The most you can ask for is him putting on his finisher - but even that's dodgy - he'd risk getting sued by Lloyds of London.

The ideal time for this would have been Toronto, Wrestlemania 18. I feel this is a couple of years too late unfortunately but I would still love to see it. He obviously won't wrestle but just to see him involved would be special.

Maybe Bret in Taker's corner versus Shawn with Vince in his corner.

What's this Lloyds of London payout thing about?

I'm sure that Vince would repay Lloyds the Insurance money if he thought there was money to be made from Bret returning.

Bret got an insurance pay out after the Goldberg kick in the head and/or the bike fall not to sure which one it was. Lloyds eventually paid out. I dont think even Vince could pay Lloyds with the ammount I imagine they could sue Bret for if he did wrestle. Were talking insurance fraud here.

I doubt he could, those policies are meant to be the bomb and he'd have to continue paying Bret after he wrestled as well

And surely it'd mean that Bret would then have no insurance for pretty much the rest of his life

I'd say he could put on his finisher as to wrestle would be more than one move?....I'd love to see him come back but I think he should hold onto his pride. He told himself he would never work for Vince again so he shouldn't

While I kinda agree, the fact that by coming back for one night, he could really push The Hart Dynasty and help get them over big time would be worth it. It wouldn't be like working for Vince. I think if a situation like that were to arise, the ends would justify the means

Exactly but you can manage on those schemes. Mr Perfect did it for a while. he could come back and manage the Dynasty

Since Bret cant wrestle anymore he could be in the Hart Dynasty's corner against DX with Vinnie in their corner

    From the Q&A Section of Bret's website;

What are your feelings on the new Hart Foundation? Will you help them progress with their careers?

Since I have great respect for all the new members, I will do everything I can to help them. But they have enough talent to make it on their own. - Bret

That's exactly right. In Starrcade December 2000, Goldberg mule-kicked Hart in the head, causing him a severe concussion. He suffered multiple concussions shortly afterwards, leading to post-concussion syndrome. Bret argued that this effectively ended his career. He went to Lloyds of London, whom he had health insurance with, and claimed that his earning power was naught since he was injured. He claimed that he could've wrestled for a long time afterwars (look at Flair, etc) and that he would've earned so much more from WCW. Lloyds of London agreed, and payed out a substantial amount to Hart, based on this, with the proviso that he can never wrestle again. If he did, it would negate his payout, and also mean LoL could sue him for insurance fraud and ruin him. We're talking millions and millions of Dollars and more in legal trouble - axiomatically something Vince would never pay for a broken down ex-wrestler like Bret.

Bret is being interviewed by Meltzer later on tonight so we'll know more then.

    Here's what he'll say :

"I haven't heard anything from WWE lately. I'm open to working with them. I'm on good terms with Vince. I haven't heard anything about hosting RAW. I'd like to do something with the Hary Dynasty. +/- I'm retired and I won't be stepping in the ring."

Let's see how good I can Carnac!

Its been hinted at by Meltzer. But even if its complete boll*x, its fun to speculate. Lighten up.

MASSIVE SPOILER re: Bret Hart from the latest Wrestling Observer.
While this is not due to any Monday Night Wars, perhaps as big a news as Hulk Hogan debuting for TNA on Jan. 4, is that there is a good chance Bret Hart will be debuting for WWE on the same night.

According to a WWE source who would have full knowledge of the situation, Hart, 52, signed a short-term talent contract with WWE this past week covering the period from 1/1 to 4/10, or through WrestleMania and about two weeks after the 3/28 show at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. Hart simply told us that he wasn’t going to lie about anything and thus wasn’t going to say anything on the story. It was said that Hart wanted his signing to be kept quiet and his return to be a surprise, but that WWE couldn’t help itself but all but announced it publicly on the first Raw after the ink was dry.

wonder if it just to do with this..
Jim Neidhart said at an autograph signing this past weekend in Long Island, New York that WWE is working on a DVD looking at The Hart Foundation, likely the whole family and not just Neidhart and Bret Hart's tag team. Apparently Neidhart just finished shooting some interviews for the project.
With WWE teasing a return by Bret Hart on last night's RAW, this adds to the speculation that Bret might be returning to WWE in some fashion

I put this in the rumours thread but I guess it's no harm if I put it here (spoiler added):
-- With the tease on WWE RAW all but confirming that Bret Hart will appear on WWE programming in the near future, talk has once again turned to what kind of role he would assume in WWE.

F4WOnline.com reports that Hart remains open to appearing as a regular on-air character, with most aware of the situation anticipating Hart appearing either as an authority figure or a high-profile feud partner for someone like Vince McMahon.

Past reports said that Hart had expressed a willingness to work with The Hart Dynasty; the same reports also said that he would want to strictly regulate on-air involvement with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Figure 4 Weekly interestingly speculates that Hart would consider working one or two gimmick matches; based on Hart's physical condition, the notion has long been that any Hart activity in WWE would be outside of the ring.

I would love to see Bret back in Wrestling and back in the WWE.

An on screen role, outside the ring, would be a good way for fans from the past to get re-connected with wwe wrestling.

It would also be great for the younger stars to have a guy like Bret around to help them with putting together a match or coming up with an innovative ending for matches.

Bret not involved with wrestling was a big loss to the industry and a big loss in his own life. Despite everything that went down between him and Vince, WWE is the top of the industry and thats where Bret belongs.
