    Hi,
    anyone can recommend a good black box .. air crash investigation book for the layman ?

    i was looking at:_

    And i remember my brother had one (10 years or so ago) called BLACK BOX .. but wasn't any of these .... also this is 10 years old or more so
    would need a more up to date one ...

    Try "Air Accident Investigation" by David Owen, published by Patrick Stephens Limited, revised 2006.Suitable for those without indepth technical knowledge.Quite good.

    'Black Box' by Nicholas Faith is good too. Most of the interesting crashes took place years ago, that's why there's not that many of these books now. Anything by Stanley Stewart is excellent too.

    Slightly off topic...but does anyone remember a series called 'Black Box'. It would have been in video times not dvd :)

    Ive never personally heard of it, and cant find anything on the internet. But a friend of mine was talking about it. Kinda like Air Crash I assume.

    This was the series of the book by Nicolas Faith .... it was on channel 4 ...

    I have since found "The Naked Pilot" by David Beatty ... supposed to be good....
