That has to be the most boring set of Premiership fixtures I've ever seen.

Tottenham-City should have lots of goals though.

1 goal in each of them so far

    Birmingham 1 - 0 Blackburn

Terrible defending from Blackburn from a corner

    Sunderland 0 - 1 Villa

Birmingham score again, but ruled out for offside, correct decision,

No team is playing great football, but Birmingham are gaining confidence with every passing minute,

Blackburn have had 2 decent chances.

There are more goals in this match.

1-0 to Birmingham at HT, Blackburn got more into the game as it wore on, really only amassed to Birmingham having to deal with a lot of aerial deliveries into the box.

Birmingham much like their City rivals play their best football with fast paced counter attacks and Blackburn cannot deal with it.

The 2 central defenders for Birmingham have been having a great game, really great buys from McCleish.

Kalinic has looked good for Blackburn, he is a good target man, his best chance was fluffed though, a little knock in the heel sent him crashing to the ground like he kicked air in front of goal.

Andrews has had to come on for the injred Emerton, maybe the pace of Hoillet would be better than Diouf or Pedersen who have both given very poor delivery. Pedersen must practice his long throw more than his crossing these days. A great servent to the club but i won't miss him when his contract runs out in the summer. Other than that Blackburn can't change their gameplan much, at 442 instead of the normal 451 away they have been giving it a go, but they are very vulnerable on the counter attack and surprisingly from Birmingham set pieces.

2-0 to Birmingham, Jerome with his 2nd, it's all too easy for Birmingham, even Steven Carr is looking world class.

Blackburn are just two different teams home and away.
15 points from 7 home games and 4 points from 9 away games (assuming they loose tonight)

Very little chance of even a goal for them tonight, Birmingham are solid.

Well i was secretly hoping to :)

Hopefully it gets shaky for Brum now!

Cana was always going to get a red at some stage this season the way he plays.

12 goals from 4 games. Not a bad night's action.

Villa up to 3rd and Birmingham up to 6th.

What's in the water there in the midlands?

Seems to be decent English talent, all around the pitch for Villa and a solid defense line for Birmingham.

Pool on Wednesday so obviously they will have bigger viewership figures

My Guess at the Arsenal team tonight:

    Almunia

    Sagna
    Gallas
    Vermaelen
    Silvestre

    Fab
    Song
    Diaby

    Walcott
    Vela
    Nasri

I'm reckoning Arshavin will be rested as he played through an injury on Sunday.

Fab is a doubt so I could easily see Ramsey come in for him. Or if Fabregas is ok to play I reckon it's 50/50 between Diaby and Ramsey to start.

    Prediction: 0-2 Arsenal

    Walcott and Fabregas.

Apparently the Arsenal team is as Frisbee posted with the exception of Arshavin in place of Vela.

Very suprised Arshavin is playing, thought he'd give him a rest after Sunday.

Good to see Eduardo back on the bench, if we can get a decent lead up (big if) I think it would be a good game to give Wilshere a run out.

    You jinxed it

3-2 now, Basle only need one more goal to qualify ahead of them.

:o Damn I really want to see them do well this season. I like Hodgsen.

yay! Fulham win in the snow

    As do I.

Almunia pulls off an acrobatic save to spare Vermaelens blushes as he nearly puts the ball in his own net.

Arsenal take a thouroughly undeserved lead at Turf Moor as Fabregas manages to jam his way through two defenders with plenty of bounces off the shins and slots home.

Burnely have looked very much the better side so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,571 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Fabregas nearly bags a second with what would have been the goal of the season so far imo, but his left footed volley hits the side netting.

Then Nasri falls over looking for a penalty after he takes a heavy touch. tut tut

lol there's only 10 minutes gone. Arsenal could easily be 4-1 up.

    Make that 5-2.

Fletcher heads over as Almunia wanders off somewhere.

Then Arshavin hits the post from 20 yards after a lovely backheel from Nasri.

    Burnley 1 - 1 Arsenal

    Alexander Penalty

Ridiculous studs up high challenge by Vermaelen in the box, absolutely no need for it.
