Wii 2 is only a rumour and nothing more, even if it was announced tomorrow (Which it wont be, any announcement is at least 12months away imo possibly longer) it would still be another year, perhaps 18 months before its released, so can you wait 2 or 2 and a half years? There are some great deals and some great games out there, Mario Galaxy is almost worth the money by itself.

The wii is pretty entertaining at first. But the novelty fades fast enough imo.

MarioKart and Mariogalaxy are great craic. But if you're one of those "serious gamers" then I'd go for something else.

If you're just after a bit of a light-hearted gaming then its probably ok.

We bought ours 2 years ago and knocked good fun out of it for the first year, but now it just collects dust.

Gamestop do a decent deal 2nd hand deal as far as I know. You might even end up with mine, because I'll be leaving it in soon.

Not trying to turn you off, because you will enjoy it at first.

Its just a bit "gimmicky" in the long-run though imo

EDIT: just to point out, i'm talking about the wii. I've no idea about wii-2 or zii or anything

I read today that Nintendo have trademarked the Zii.
Next machine in the series perhaps?

Possibly but as was pointed out it is possible that they are trying to protect their Wii brand by preventing people imitating the name.

By the by I saw HMV were doing a Black Wii with WiiSports, Wii Sports resort and the wii motion plus dongle for E169 which is a pretty great deal imo, think its finished but an idea of what is out there. Bear in mind that any new Nintendo console is gonna cost top wack when it comes out.
