Sky+ Box - No signal received (code 29)

    Hi all,

I am being driven round the bend by problems I am having with a new Sky+ box I got installed two weeks ago, and am wondering whether anyone has any info that could help me.

I have had a Sky box for maybe seven years with no problems whatsoever during that time. However, since I got a Sky+ box installed two weeks ago I am getting the following error intermittently:

"No satellite signal being received (29)"

Some days it works, some days it doesn't.

I have connected back up the old Sky box and that doesn't work either (same error). I've had two guys out from Sky who can't find anything wrong - they checked the cables, LNB, signal stength and did a software update of the box (Amstrad). Now getting the runaround from Sky saying the next available slot is December 23rd for someone to come out and have a look again !

Just wondering whether anyone has any similar kind of problems ?

Also - any idea what they would have done to the dish when installing the Sky+ box, because it's obviously broken something.

    Thanks!
