Options for Sky replacement

    Hi,

I know this question has been answered before, but i just cannot grasp the concepts and multitude of options.

Please can someone tell me in simple terms what would be the best solution to replacing sky, and any costs involved and what channels I would receive on each option, I would be willing to buy boxes/ariel if required.

My current setup is that I have one dish with 4 feeds. These are split into 2 rooms with 2 feeds per room. Both rooms have full sky sub and SD sky +.
I also have a Western digital HD Live player coming for Christmas.

I would like to be able to receive Irish channels if possible in 1 room and would like HD picture in another, but would need both rooms to still have the sky + (or similar) functionality. What are my options on this, would I be better keeping a small sky sub for the Irish channels in one room and replacing the 2nd room with a new HD freesat box?

I would also appreciate any info on how to get the most out of the TV Live player as I would like to reduce subscription fees to sky by removing movies and sports.

    Thanks for your help!!
