    Hi,

Great weekend for the Irish Provinces with 4 wins!

Who do people think was the stand-out Irish player of the weekend for our provinces?

What about non-Irish players for our provinces?

And, Irish players playing elsewhere in Europe?

First time since January 2005 we've had an Irish clean sweep.

I'm becoming incresingly impressed by Humphries.

At the very least, if he keeps this up, I'd like to see him consistantly used in the Churchill cup, and maybe some part in the autumn internationals in 2010.

Elsewhere, the backrow in Leinster was superb.

Am I right in saying this is the first time all 4 have won on a weekend in Europe in 4 years?

    EDIT: Almost 5 then!

    Spoiled for choice really (quite an enviable position);

Ferris, Humphries, Henry (particularly briliant), Horgan, O'Brien, Kearney, ROG (delighted for the guy),Quinlan, Wallace, Leamy and more...

Sorry Connacht fans, didn't see the game, so can't comment...

Excellent by the Leinster back-row. Mclaughlin gets through a heap of work

Humphries and O'Brien were the stand-outs for me.

Non-Irish in Ireland - probably Berne, seems to be good at firing a backline.

Didn't see much of the Irish based abroad. Bracken started for the Dragons and Best, Downey and Wilson started for Northampton - didn't see much of those games though. I'm sure there were more elsewhere (Bowe had a nice time for the Ospreys)

5 Irish wins if you include London Irish.

Although, being a Leinster Fan, I wasn't exactly thrilled by that.

Alan Quinlan and ROG were superb for Munster.

Most of the Ulster team and the same for Leinster.

Am taking a Leinster point of view cos i didn't see alot of the other games...
Reddan was superb, O'Brien was fantastic, and McLoughlin got through a lot of work as well. Heaslip was commanding (if a bit greedy close to the line!)

Glad to see ROG is getting back on track.

by the sounds of things Keatley did very well for Connacht, Fionn Carr scored another try!

Keatley is slowly (but surely) stepping into my 21 jersey/A team starter. He's been Man of the match in every game of the ECC this season for Connacht. And granted Humphreys is on fire.
Maybe im just highlighting the fact that being able to see all four province weekly /or bi-weekly due to living in Galway. Ian Keatley is just class and it drives me crazy that most people on this forum can't comment on him regularly enough to see this.

Irish abroad - Bob Casey. Playing very well lately.

Like a fine wine, getting better and better with age.

Non-Irish for the provinces - thought Hines did a huge amount of work (some of it even legal!) at the weekend.

Irish abroad - Casey was great. Again.

Nowherenearlondon Irish didn't win. They were beaten by Scarlets without even a bonus loss point.
    You should be thrilled.

Edit: I've just seen the date of your post. Sorry :D
