Grammar and vocab book : Schaums grammar series.
International Books on South Frederick Street Dublin specialises in language learning and has a decent spanish section. The staff are helpful too if you're looking for advice.

Website : http://www.learnspanish.com/ - It has plenty of free grammar excerises which are great for doing over and over again which is the best way to drill things home.

Also, www.euronews.net is great for learning languages. You can watch a news clip in Spanish and read the text below. Then just change the language and view it in english to see what you mananged to pick up.

Get yourself a good pocket dictionary too and carry it everywhere. If you get into learning spanish enough you'll be constantly thinking how to say things in spanish. Well, I was anyway :)

If you really get into it and have a couple of weeks. Go to Spain!! and do a short intentive course.

Also, check out college notice boards sites like www.gumtree.ie for Spanish conversation exchanges. I did loads over the last few years. Basically, you meet a Spanish person who is learning English, hang out for a couple of hours and try to talk to each other in English/Spanish. It's really handy for clearing up doubts or questions that sprung to mind during you're learning. Just write them all down and take them to the exchange. All it costs is an equal amount of your time in helping the Spanish person with their English.

Bars like Havana on Georges Street, Dublin, also do groups exchanges where Irish and Spanish people can meet up and help each other learn English/Spanish. It's Wednesday from 5 - 8ish. Can get crowded but a friendly atmosphere.
Also the Dublin City Council Library in the Ilac Centre do the same on Tuesday from 5 or 6 I think.

    Bueno, te deseo mucha suerte!
