If you check out this link.http://www.teagasc.ie/aboutus/businessplan.asp

I cant really see any bank providing money for anything to do with Farming unless your already set up or have a lot of your own money to invest.

Would you not consider going to Ballyhaise and get some sort of qualification?

i was with the bank yesterday  i brought my stock numbers , what i owe etc , my outline of the future:confused: he told me of a bridging loan that there is with ifa that you take out for a year and pay the interest of 5.8% only during the year and pay the initial amount back before the 12 months is up

If you havent got a substantial amount of your own capital to invest then the banks wont touch you. As johnthomas09 leaned toward, the banks will get involved in very litle these days and farming is just not lucrative enough to risk 100% finance on. If you cant make it work, they'll be left with machines that you bought at X amount but they'll sell for whatever they can get. So your left with a large debt and no machines to work it off. You will also have to keep the tax man happy.

Given your age I would definatley head for australia or america to get some experience ( and for the craic) operating machines on large farms etc. Also there is good money to be made there as the farms are often isolated so you cant spend the money if you wanted to!

Borrowed money is what got the country in to this mess.
