Is this common?

Hi everyone!

This isn't exactly a problem, more looking for opinions from other ladies of my age. Lads feel free to offer opinions too!

I am a happily single 27 year old female. Love nights out with my friends, having a laugh, etc, etc. Not looking for a bloke, but if a fab one comes along, I'm open to that!
However, for quite a while I am being chatted up, hit on, etc by very young guys... anything from 17 year olds to 24 year olds. The majority would be under 21. I find this rather strange, as it never happens to any of my friends and they find it rather amusing!

I do look young for my age, but my personality and demeanour would make it obvious to these boys that I am far older than they are. Most would know for a fact that I am in my late 20's.

At first I just figured maybe it was they had a little crush or something and I found that quite cute. But being honest, a lot of them have persued me relentlessly, to the point where they get my phone number ( from mutual aquiantances ) and bombard me with texts and calls asking me out.

I'm starting to wonder what's going on here! Have post-teenage boys suddenly got it into their heads that they have to have an older woman? I decline their advances politely, so there is no question of me encouraging them.

Girls - has this been happening to you?
Guys - do you see a lot of this?

yes. I don't know about every guy but must guys around that age group wants older woman and brag about it. Then when the novalty is gone they are gone or when things starts to get serious.

24 is very young compared to 27? Fair enough if that's how you feel, seems a bit odd to me. But anyhow. Maybe the guys come up and chat to you because you're pretty and they bombard you with calls and stuff because they get on really well with you and want to pursue a relationship? I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Just a quick question, how do you politely decline them? Just that us men can be very blind to these things sometimes (read: all the time) and just might not see you saying no? Pretty much all the guys I know have at one point gotten a girl's number from an acquaintance text them, it's not a big deal really, just means they like you.

24 vs 27 is not a huge difference.It would depend on their level of maturity which shouldnt be much different to yours.

OP - do you look very young or dress that way or do you go places that young guys go to. Maybe you have just grown out of your usual haunts. It happens.

Young guys think older single woman are desperate and will make for an easy lay. They know most girls there own age will blank them
