Hop Up Rubber thingy Question

I have installed a new Hop Up rubber thingy and the ends of the rubber don’t sit flush to the end of the barrel.

Will this cause a problem or is this the norm (I forgot to look before removing old one)

I have a photo of it here

Try rotating it around a bit, it should flush. You'll get misfeeds if it's like that.

I’ve been trying to jiggle it about a bit, but I still can’t seem to get the barrel to line up with the little lugs on the inside of the rubber. But there is more of an ‘aperture’ now
