NTL to Sky

    Hey folks,
    Question for youse in the know. I had ntl in my house. up and downstairs and I got sky plus with a quad lnb. I ran one of teh cables from sat and connected it to old ntl cable that was ran into upstairs bedroom and then changed the fitting and connected a sat box (lidl one) but it wont pick up any cannels. Did I do something wrong? Can the new sat cable be connected to the old ntl cable?

    I donno, but first thing to try would be to plug the lidl box downstairs, and unplug the sky box, and test the lidl one there, to see if it works.

    If you can get it to work there, try testing the sky box upstairs.

    Then you should be able to work out if it is the cable or something else.

    Did you run the cable from the satellite dish or the Sky box?

    They are different cables. You'll need to replace it with the right kind.
