The Pool table looks a bargain but the football table doesn't look to be very stable.

    "Genuine bargain in Halfords" shocker!
They both seem to be good quality too.
Many thanks OP, picked one of each up this evening at 9pm in Naas.
Girl on till in had a sheaf of orders which had all arrived between 8 & 9pm, obviously thanks to Boards. She doubted if they would have many of either left in the morning...

Going to pick up football table in the morning that I reserved, Dec4 do you know if the legs of it are foldable or I may have storage issues when I get it.

Sorry Lindtee they were literally closing the door at 9pm when I got there so I just had a quick glance at top of both and checked they they felt sturdy, then loaded up my 2 boxes (gratefully!). Looking at website I'd say its the 3 screws out for each leg if you wanted to store but that's just my guess....

    Nice One OP.
Don't need 1. Don't have space for 1. Oldest child is 4 so don't think he'll be able to reach. BUT, at that price I just had to order the pool table!

I literally have nowhere to put this. Pretty sure I'll be able to sell it on for a profit though, or have it as an unexpected present for someone who'll probably also have nowhere to put it!

If anyone checks other websites ,the balls aren't standard size with this ,they're a lot smaller

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,396 ✭✭✭lindtee

Just to (re) mention that the legs for both aren't foldable according to hukd and as yoshy said balls are smaller than your normal balls for the pool table

I am humming and hawing here as to whether or not to get the football table......(gets out measuring tape)

I can grab a van so no folding legs isnt an issue, but the nearest halfords that has it is Navan which is 60 miles away :\

Thanks OP got one ,Quality OK if you were paying about €100 so very good for this price. Fits into ford focus type hatchback OK with seats forward. Smyths selling sets of pool balls €7.99 (were €14.99) think they are slightly bigger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,195 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Probably will go pick mine up in an hour's time.. it's being relegated to the spare room. Won't even fit in my office room (well.. I call it an office room = it houses my Xbox, Games, Mac Mini and a Dell Hybrid! :D).

But will the bigger balls fit in the holes? *

Picked the football table up this morning, I have to say its quite nice and a neat size that isn't going to take up much room assembled.

Saw the pool table aswell, more suitable to kids I'd say. Quite small but very good for the price.

Edit - 2 football tables fitted in to the back of my fiesta with the seats down and I'd say the pool table would have fitted in aswell

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,956 ✭✭✭consultech

I'd get this but for the fact I don't have the room; what with my full-size Riley aristocrat taking it all up. (Seriously)

I'd say hold off on buying the above as they'll probably reduce it further. It has the same rrp as the pool table.

Picked up football table today... Took about an hour to assemble.. Prob would have been quicker with 2 people... Very sturdy.. Defo a great buy. We don't have the space really but couldn't pass the oppertunity, have always wanted one!
Will have to wait till himself gets home to play it though! :) thanks op! :D

Picked up pool table earlier.. was tough enough to get in my VW Polo. It sat atop the two headrests in the front seat and was left with no rear view mirror. I used side mirrors the whole way home but I live only a few minutes from Halfords and it was a straight run home.

Don't know how lindtee thought it was small.. it's a damn decent size as I saw it assembled in store. The 3-in-1 table is a bit small however at 4ft long and a damn sight shorter in height too.

Sitting in my hallway now.. will assemble when other half is watching X Factor tonight.

Check the size and make sure they fit comfortably in the pockets.

Could have been the 3 in one that was assembled that I saw, I'm not sure.

Edit-Just looked at the pictures online, and it must have been the 3 in 1. Jaytee said it looked v small too, might have put people off buying it before actually.
