iPhone 3Gs freezing/dropping calls

Does anyone else notice this problem? I have a 3gs unlocked and jailbroken with blackrain, and every so often it will freeze for a few seconds and drop the connection. This mostly happens during actual calls. It will freeze as someone is speaking to me, then unfreeze and the connection to the cell tower (and the call itself) will be lost. The cell tower connection comes back after a few seconds, and I have to ring the other person again. It doesn't happen on all calls, but it has happened a few times enough to notice it is a problem.

Did you check from sbsetting, what process are running on background, happened to me once but then i checked and had lots of programmes running, lack of memory i think. Quick refresh springboard or restart solves the problem.

I've used SystemMonitor from iTunes to check the memory after a few lockups during the week and saw nothing odd. Plenty of memory available and no processes running in the background. This happened again today trying to make a call. It is frustrating. I don't know if it is linked to the jailbreak or if it's a hardware problem.

    Anyone else experience this?

Sounds odd but could it just be the network?

Try using a friends sim and see if it still happens...
