Does anyone else get ridiculously excited about wrapping their presents? I absolutely love it, the rest of the family think I'm mad because they all hate it! I spend a fortune on paper, bows and ribbons, and pick a different colour theme every year (geek I know!!) This year it's black and gold.

Here's a pic of some of the ones I've wrapped (haven't got the tree up yet to put them under!)

    they look amazing!!!
in my family the wrapping is almost as important as the gift itself, we all have our own style, i love it!
sometimes i even make my own - well, i decorate brown paper (my style is old skool)....:D

No, I'm just as bad with wrapping. I haven't started yet but your picture has just reminded me that I'm all out of ribbon. Cheers!

I'm so doing that next year! I saw Kirsty Allsop doing it on her show this week, decorating it with ribbons and tassles, looked great, nothing like a bit of retro!

I love wrapping presents as well, and putting lots of ribbons and bows on them. When I was a bit younger I would spend hours wrapping the presents making sure everything was perfect and even one was different, even using double-sided sticky tape so that the tape couldn't be seen and spoil the appearance!

One year I put Christmas confetti/sparkly-bits inside the paper so when people opened them it went everywhere. It all looked very sparkly but my Mum was not happy as it went all over the carpet and had to be hoovered up!

I really try to wrap nicely but some people really think I am wasting my time so I dont bother that much for then but I always wrap with real ribbon. Loos sp pretty.

I love it too, this year I have silver and neon pink flock wrapping paper, pink tags and silver ribbons and bows....D
I like mine to be quite exact, the family used to get me to do all theirs before I moved out.

i love wrapping presents too but i have to say im not that careful about it and i enjoy ripping open a present ive received.

My OH on the other hand is completely nuts when it comes to wrapping. all the edges of the paper must be straight and you have to use as little sticky tape as possible so that the person unwrapping doesnt have to rip the paper!!!!! He will use fancy bags instead of paper mostly though to avoid this!!!! its not normal!

everybody in my family hates it. we always find the stupid paper cracks or bends or just goes queer.

I just get my younger sisters to wrap my presents for about a 5er. Saves me time, and they'd look crap if I did them anyway!

Please tell me they don't have to wrap their own!

I <3 wrapping presents, I tend to do most of em each year.
I've a box with scissors and tape and labels and bows and ribbons. And a few rolls of wrapping paper :D

I like to stick on a movie whilst I'm wrapping - just always a nice feeling

Sad but true...I love wrapping presents so much that I always wrap my own presents and put them under the tree on Christmas Eve.

i love wrapping presents.. at first. the first presents i wrapped are all lovely. silver wrapping paper with metallic blue/purple/pink ribbon. theeeeen i get tired/bored. by the time id finished it was just the silver wrapping :o i may go back and ribbon them though :)

i bought so many different bits of my family that i went and bought them all gift bags and ive put the presents into the gift bags so everyone has their own bag of wrapped presents :) im quite happy with them :D

tfak85 they look gorgeous! Totally robbing this idea for next year...how did you make the decorations? And is that wrapping paper or tissue paper?

I LOVE wrapping too! I am always secretly jealous of those people who wrap stuff in shops at Christmas. This year I'm going with a red & brown paper theme. And I've little red metal reindeer with clips that I'm going to tie on with twine.

they are salt dough decorations, really easy to make, i add loads of cinammon into the mix so they come out lovely and brown...
it's just brown paper, nothing special at all!!!!
