Help with a pedal?

    Hello all,

I blew all my budget on a Japanese Telecaster last year but have been stuck with a rubbish Fender Frontman 15watt amp(Literally one sound!). Its bloody boring and I've conceded the fact that a new amp is a bit too expensive in the current financial climate! Anyways, I wanna get a fun multi FX pedal for under €150 that will keep me occupied for the next year! I have a boss metal zone mt-2 too( Is for sale btw, not my style!) which has a decent compression but it doesn't do the job!

Any ideas, help, advice etc. people??
    Cheers!

If you want multi-effects for €150, you'll have to go second hand.

What effects are you looking for?

Second-hand is perfect aslong as its in full working order!

Well basically as many as i can fit into one because i just wanna have fun and experiment(that's what she said :P). I'm kinda moving into the Electronic scene so Reverb, Delay and compression are musts!

It's either that or I just start up a Boss collection....which does sound appealling, though not financially!

    I'd say €150 will get you a second-hand Digitech GNX3 or GNX4, or a Boss GT6 or similar.
With regards to working condition - my opinion would be that if it works, it works.
By that I mean that these are all based on processors etc, so if you plug in and it makes good noises, then it's fine. Waggle the power cable at the input, waggle the guitar leads at their inputs, work the footpedal, listen for crackles etc. If it all looks screwed together it's fine.
A lot of these pedals see bedroom use only, so you should find a clean one easily enough.

While I'd certainly be an advocate of the seperate pedals school of thought, if you're starting off with pedals, a multi-fx board will give you much more bang for your buck, and will allow you to decide if your a "distortion or overdrive" or "phaser or flanger" kind of player.

Thank you very much for your advice!

I still can't decide on the Multi-fx pedals without trying them first!
I do relish the idea of buying whichever seperate pedals I can afford and suprising myself, its a more fun option! And besides, I can always sell them on if they're not up to scratch!
