insulation and u values help..anyone want a few extra quid?

    hey all,im in the process of building my house at the moment and i said id maybe get some help in regards to my insulation and u values.problem is that there is a lot of cowboys out there and since most posts in here have good advice and a lot of fellow construction people are unemployed,i was wondering if anyone wants to make a few extra quid in helping me make sure i have the house sealed up well.im in north galway..ps.dont as about my engineer..he is a bit old school..

    Why don't you contact the various Insulation companies (Kingspan, Xtratherm, Moy etc) and ask them to have an Engineer call to your site site when the time is right...That way, you are getting free advice..!! :)

    If you are getting a BER assessor ask him/her have they passed the new exam?, what expierence have they? and are from a building background and or have they got techincal training.
