Is it normal for a Consulatant to charge for a post surgical check up?
My son had surgery recently as a private patient. He hasn't seen the surgeon since.
I got a letter yesterday for his check up. It says the visit will cost €100!!! I can't believe that someone would operate on a child and not want to check that everything was ok without the patient stumping up €100.

    Is this normal?
