Digibox or LNB problem?!?!

    Hi folks,

    I have a PANASONIC TU-DSB50 SKY DIGIBOX .I have noticed an intermittent problem with it lately and am trying to establish whether it is more likely to be an lnb problem or a digibox problem before I get the engineer to call.

    Symptoms on these channels for definate, RTE 1(101),TV3 (101),RTE RADIO 1(0160) utv(manually tuned) BBC 1 141.I would say all other channels I watch
    are perfect, ie Skysports,espn,channel 4,et etc etc..but I cannot be 100% sure due to the times and time spent watching each channel! The digibox tuner is like a rocket and picture is perfect etc.

    The symptom is the picture or sound might stop for a split second every so often and then resume and sometimes the voice might be out of sync, Switching the box on and off with the remote solves that. I disconnected everything a couple of days ago and noticed no problem until this morning.
    I did reconnect my old pace 2550 as a test and it worked ok but still had the occasional similar symptom but not nearly as noticeable or frequent but still on the same channel base. This pace box was repaired about 3 years ago and tested for a week before return so should be ok.

    fyi i have a quad lnb, the hd box has not had symptoms of any problems at all.

    I must stress this is minor and not really screwing up my viewing too much and when I reboot the machine it sometimes it seems to get rid of the problem for a couple of days, sometimes not.

    any opinion /advice appreciated..
