Good deal in PC WORLD at the moment.

They have the Logitech Z4 2.1 speakers plus Subwoofer 40 Watt reduced from €99 to €69........ cant find them cheaper anywhere else at the moment.

Not sure how long or how much stock they have left but its a good deal for anyone considering a decent sound system for their PC or Laptop.

    Yeah, couldn't agree more.

They're fantastic, and at €69, well worth it.

Not 100% but was in Harvey Normans in Waterford and thought I saw these for 59.99 if someone happens to be going there they might be able to confirm.

Slightly off-topic, but would these work if I plug them in the headphone socket of an LCD television with inbuilt stereo speakers, as a cheap temporary measure while I build up towards my proper 5.1 surround sound system. Then I could transfer them to my computer.

At least the two side speakers should work with standard TV, but the sub should kick in when viewing a DVD.

Yeah, should do, though you'd need to adjust the TV volume right. Ideally, your TV might have auxiliary outputs (usually phono) at the back. Use a 2xphono-to-3.5mm jack cable to connect to Z4.

    Hey,

I got these off Amazon for under €40 delivered...
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-X-230-Multimedia-Speaker-System/dp/B00069ZEA6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1264598068&sr=8-1

Slightly less wattage but about half the price! I'm no audio nerd but the floor shakes when you turn these up so they're good in my books!

    Go Team.
