Advice re CD Wow

    Hi all

A while back I bought a DVD from CD Wow. When I ordered it, it was supposed to ship within 7-10 days. Obviously, I was prepared to wait that long but it took over 3 weeks to ship, and when I got it, it was the wrong item. (I ordered the remake and they sent me the original version). I rechecked my order history just to be sure I ordered the version I wanted (I had).

I got in touch with customer service and they offered a replacement which I accepted. The return address was a freepost P.O. box in the UK. I suppose it was dumb of me, :o but I recently was told by a lady I know who works in the post office that you can't send stuff via freepost to UK addresses, as An Post won't be reimbursed for it. I assumed freepost meant just that, so I didn't pay postage - I just dropped it in the slot!

I contacted CD Wow, and they said they never received the DVD. In fairness they probably didn't as I suppose it wasn't even posted. They also said they couldn't help as 60 days had passed since despatch.

However I still have no DVD - I paid for it so I've lost the money too. Not to mention they were the ones who sent me the wrong item in the first place.

    Any advice?

    Hey LynnS,

I don't think there is much you can do tbh. You can only use Freepost when you are sending within Ireland.
So that means it wasn't delivered and is probably in a sorting office somewhere.

Did your package have any contact details for yourself in it ? Mail like this normally ends up in Roscommon at a central An post undelivered mail centre.

Try filling your details here - they may be able to find it for you.

That would be worth a try.

Is that where all the letters to Santa and God go? :D

    Thanks for your replies!

I've just emailed An Post customer services (couldn't use the form as it kept asking for a postage amount).

I'm pretty sure my DVD wasn't delivered at all, but hey at least I tried!

I'm sure you're right about that being where all the letters to Santa and God go :D
