Sky HD and Sky Plus remote control query.

Folks,

Can someone please confirm that the Sky remotes for HD and Sky plus boxes will ONLY operate their own boxes.

I plan to replace a Standard box with a sky plus box which will be on the shelf below the hd box and operated in other rooms by magic eye.

Just want to make sure that when watching the main tv ,for example, that the Sky hd remote will not change the Sky plus box channel?

As far as I know your Sky+ remote will also operate the HD box, the HD remote will only operate the HD box though. I don't think there is anyway of getting the Sky+ remote to work exclusively with your Sky+ box, but I may be wrong

My Sky+ remote does not work my Sky HD box. Maybe it is true for only some makes. My HD box is Thomson.

Simple solution is to tape over the remote sensor on the front of the new sky+ box

Could be to do with the Rev number of the Sky+ remote. All my Sky+ remotes operate my Thomson HD box.

My HD box is a Thomson (4E3007). Hopefully when I get this Sky plus box the remote won't work the HD box either!
