last night I made a silly error and typed in the wrong name when booking a flight on an infamous low cost airline. I had typed the name my friend goes by rather than the one on her passport.

the lovely people at the airline are insisting that I pay £100 to change the name, despite the fact that this costs more than the ticket itself.

out of principle I'd rather give the ticket away and book a new one rather than pay the fee.

if your name is Leah Kenny there's a free ticked to Budapest for next February going.

I did that by accident one time so I went to the passport office and they were nice enough to type me up an official letter.I showed this to the people at the airport and everything was grand.
