    Applies to the length of Brian Lenihans' speech for his budget speech to the dail at the next Irish Budget.
    56 minutes or more 1.40
    45 to 55 minutes inclusively 3.25
    Under 45 minutes 5.00

    Sips of water

    Singles Only. Settled on to the number of times Brian Lenihan lifts his glass during his budget speech to the dail at the next Irish Budget. Must be shown on RTE.
    None -3.50
    Two -3.75
    One -4.00
    Three - 5.00
    Four -6.00
    More than Five - 7.00

    A more long term bet is Blue Flu

    Singles Only. Applies to Brian Lenihan's December budget. *Minimum of 1000 Gardai to phone in sick on any one day. Must occur before 28th February 2009.
    Another 'blue flu' to occur* 1.80
    Lenihan to abolish Gardai clothing allowance in the December Budget 4.00
    Lenihan to abolish Gardai rent allowance in the December Budget 6.00
    All out official strike by the GRA* 34.00

    Boylesports have it evens that VAT will be decreased, i think theres a great a great chance of this happening, we're 21.5% compared to the uk's 15%.
    He'll probably decrease it by 0.5% or 1% considering it looks like the uk will bring their VAT rate back up to 17.5% in january.
    He needs to do something to stem the flow of shopping in the north instead of the south.
    I think this is a good price considering Brian Lenihan is going to have to introduce something something in the budget to improve consumer confidence, after the carbon tax is introduced.

    Vat reduced by 0.5%, nice one :D. Even money, should have been 1/2 in my opinion

    Can easily do it in a 2 horse race, where in my opinion the price was very generous. Someone was just doubling their money if they felt strongly enough on the issue and agreed with my point.
    I've seen ridiculous prices of evens and worse on horses in 20 runner fields, especially in irish racing
