Anybody know where I can get a few spares? Seems next to nobody stocks them in Dublin - one LBS had a single one a couple of weeks ago. Can't find a trace of them online either.

On a related note, it turned out the spoke key I had didn't fit (needed 4mm), so I asked the LBS to replace it and true the wheel. Two weeks later, I discover this morning's snappage, after leaving the bike overnight. Should I be getting a refund/free replacement?

try bikedock in belfast (£3 each though)
(think i've just bought the last ones)

talk to simon he'll get some ordered in for you

    04890730600

WH-RS10 rear spoke, left or right, 302 mm, black
    Code: 012 A602-5

i think older wheels had different length spokes so worth checking depending on how olsd they are (mine are the new ones with red spoke nipples)

10 working days for Cyclesuperstore to get them in, waiting on Simon's call back. Thanks for the suggestions guys - if anyone knows of anywhere else, I'd be grateful!

I had a problem with an RS20 (and ordered the spokes from England for the rear wheel...
the guys in Think Bike Rathmines fixed it for me.

If your wheels are still in decent shape, id say fix it and keep them for the winter!

Get some mavics maybe... bullet proof, and easier to repair!

All this just serves to highlight the advantage of choosing wheels built with non-proprietary spokes that can be easily sourced rather than spokes produced for use in one wheel set or range of wheel sets from a single manufacturer. This doesn't necessarily mean restricting yourself to traditional hand-built wheels. Some of the factory wheel sets use standard spokes too - DT Swiss always make this claim about their wheels and apparently some of the new Sram wheels also use off-the-shelf spokes.

If you decide to persist with your current wheels, as training wheels or otherwise, Rosebikes have the spokes in stock at the moment, at £3.89each though plus postage: front spoke here, and rear spoke here.

Are they flat bladed and black? i had the same problem with my WH6500 and had to buy a stock of them when I could from Rose. I have the following on sale at Advert.ie if any good to you:

    4no. 284mm long with nipples.
    2no. 300mm long with nipples.
    3no. 275mm long with nipples.
    3no. 275mm long without nipples.
