Hi guys, i was wondering would anyone know the callsigns the IAC use eg. for the aw 139s etc. i enjoy listing to atc and am intrested in the air corps (might apply if they ever recruit again) , but i'd like to know if an IAC aircraft was near-by so i could spot it.

Also i know if they IAC wanted us to know they were around they'd make it know, but just like to spot and listen in ;)

    Cheers Shane

A few additions to earlier posts .....

I've only heard PC-9s use "Viking" when engaged in live firing exercises.

King Air 240 also used "Kilo 240"

The Casas seem to use "Irish 252" and " Irish 253" when on flights outside of Irish airspace.

    When in formation

AW-139s use "Wolf" or "Wolf Section"
    Cessnas use "Rainbow"
    PC-9Ms use "Eagle"

The Garda has standardised on the EC135 (which type is also operated by the Air Corps on military duties) and now have two examples of same. It would not make sense to have two separate types, especially with such a small fleet.
