    hey
im doing a masters in computing and finding it quite hard
as part of it I have to do a thesis
but i cant find a topic
everyone that I see seems to be too difficult
the one that I was contemplating doing was
"an investigation into green IT/computing, implications and oppertunities through virtualization"

need help scoping it down more,
any help would be much greatful.
or if people have any other thesis ideas that arnt too difficult , it would be great
have to have the lit review submitted in mid january 2010 and time is ticking

after the search and review (lit review) of articles out there , its after that that i need help scoping the above thesis with, like comming up with a finishing point of the thesis

    thanks

well virtualisation is driving a more greenier computing enviorment due to the reduced infrastruture now needed to run the same applications as before. Maybe focus on the reductions acheived through virtualisation both from a green and fiscal focal point.

How about the application of GPGPU computing and the effects it has on the professional and scientific sectors (as well as even every day home computing uses)?

(OpenCL, CUDA, DirectCompute are some of the SDK's used for supercomputing, scientific modelling (weather, climate, Quantum mechanics etc), distributed computing, audio signal processing, cryptography, video processing, medical imaging etc etc).

Its contemporary, and plenty of info floating around.
