I had it set to have the front panel display off cause the light going round in circles drives me mad but since the HD menu upgrade its back and i have set it to off but is still on.

Any ideas on how to sort it out??

    Thanks

    ah ok,
    Press services, down,down,down,down,down,down,select,toggle to off.

there may be 1 too many downs there but you should get the drift.

EDIT: just re read your post, oops. have you tried rebooting before changing the setting?
