    I'll probably get shot for saying it, but I don't think Mary Cullen is Euro Athlete of the year, yet. Maybe if she wins the Euro XC by a street length, then she is a contender.
    The winner should be someone who excelled at the major world championship this year.

    It's actually for athlete of the month, not year.
