    Just a question about balifs.

I got into a argument with my finance company for my motor vehicle. To cut a long story short I handed them back the car, however the took me to court took judgement against me.

Despite them having the car back they are chasing me for €15,000!

They sold the car for €5,000 and I had paid them €5,000 in monthly payments.

Now I have the jusgement against me I was wondring what happens next?

Im slightly worried that next week I may have a baliff knocking down my door to seize my goods, or will they need to take to court again to get this money of me?

Im out of work at present and with the budget cuts tommorow the amount ill have to pay is very little, however I do have a house with nice things, nothing special but a PS3, plasma telly etc, are they likely to come to my house and take these items?

Im not asking for advice on the legality of the system im just wondring how these things work, in regards to baliffs etc.

    Thanks.

was it your finance company who took you to court or did you receive a registered letter from a 3rd party lawyor who was not present at the time of the contract signing? this is not legal advice only a story for you to think about. but a friend of mine had trouble over 6.000 debt and he got the same hassel, he found out who the local sheriff was in his county and he sent him a demand notice to protect his rights , like he swore to do when he gave his oath, he never heard back from them, i wonder why., have a look at winston shrout on youtube, and robert menard they explane it very well, peace to you in a time of the year when every penny counts
