Quite cool to see our own DF doing heli drills.

It does ruin the gung ho image a bit when you see them putting seatbelts on!!

Love the image at 0:55 (in View Profile posted vid)of the Aw139 turning in the hover, the rotors almost look static above the fuselage.

Well it's peacetime, no point in dying by falling out when no one is shooting at you. On a hot LZ seatbelts are optional.

A couple of points, in the first of Steyr's videos the gun crew landed without any personal weapons. Would have thought that was not a good idea. But it's only an exercise. Liked the shots of the 25 pounders being fired for the last time although did think it odd that the PDF should get the privilege given that they were RDF kit. I wonder though are these the last 25 pounders in service anywhere or is there a few more out there? For WW2 weapons they lasted well.

The second video I found jarring as an ex infantryman. The whole platoon were crammed together like like a bunch of bananas. A single artillery shell ruins their day. Possibly it was for the cameras, I hope so. If it was obvious to me as a military non entity then it would be obvious to the men on the ground.
