Personally I think the adverts with the doctor or parents talking is far more hard hitting.

Thank fully its not for the RSA,

but wow that would be some crash at that kind off speed into the back of a truck like so.

mind you, fits in well with the "cant take my eyes off you" song ;)

See a lot of crashes, caused by inattention, I honestly believe its as big a killer as speed.
Like the kid picking up a cd case that fell into passenger footwell, and clipped a bridge. Or the 21 yr old who pullsout onto the main road and is creamed by the HGV.
Or the kid on the scooter who is distracted and runs into the back of the stopped truck.

These are some of the accidents I have been involved with in the last few years, have to say lot less accidents coming in these days.

Completely agree! Saw it first hand while changing a tyre... The idiots on the other side of the road were too busy looking at me and rammed into the line of traffic, involving two other cars with their. As it was low speed, thankfully there were no injuries, but man, so careless...

And tiredness, I sincerely believe it to be as bad as a few drinks. No coffee after midnight, no drive.

Yeah noticed that too. Its more of an ad not let suicidal friends drive you around i'd have thought.

Much much bigger IMO. I'd suggest that inattention is not just responsible for the blatant ones, but for a lot of crashes where other factors are blamed - inappropriate speed, failure to anticipate hazards, failure to react to hazards, bad road positioning and so on.

I find that my standard of driving is directly proportional to the number of other things going on in my head and i'm sure others are the same.

I knew it couldn't be made by the RSA as the crash was not the fault of a young male.

You can tell its not an RSA advert because the production values suck in comparison to the stuff they've made.

RSA have no budget this year to make a new one hence why the civic one is back on the screens .

could you imagine answering that on a insurance document

"who, in your opinion caused the accident or is at fault ?"

Answer: "Sandy the dog who ran across the street without looking and listening as according to the Road Safety Authority Advert which was Stop, Look, Listen and Live. He completely ignored it all and is in my honest opinion is at fault"
    :pac:

bit of a ramble there but anyhoo :D
