    Hello,

    Is there still snow on Galtymore? Im planning on climbing it on Friday.

    There was quite a lot of snow on the galtees last Saturday but i wont be in Tipperary until Friday myself. Hope its all clear for you berty. Its supposed to be lovely to climb! And be careful haha

    Sort of. We got about 2/3 the way up and I decided it would be safer to not complete the climb because of the wind. Later we found at that elevation the wind was 160kph+ and other than being dangerous the wind was painful against my face.

    The cloud cover was extremely thick and there was definately no snow. It was extremely cold from the saddle between Galtymore and Galtybeag.

    We decided it would be best to home rather than appearing on RTE News.
