    Hey guys.

Wondering if you could help me.

I am moving into a house next week and we are looking to sort out our tv.

The house previously had sky but that is gone.

There is still and sat dish outside and it is wired up and everything.

Therefore is there a way I can connect one of those freesat things and get free satellite tv without paying UPC or sky?

Not very good on these things. We are pretty low on cash so if we could jsut connect a box and away we go would be handy,

    thanks

Yes if the dish is working ok you can connect a free to air or a freesat box and get BBc ITV etc

Thank you. I am presuming a normal TV will do the trick here?

Also would an old Sky box do the same job?

It will work but has some disadvantages over an official freesat box. At 40 asking though its hard to go wrong with it.

    Thanks for the reply.

What would these disadvantages be? Ya can't go too wrong with €40
