chaning my hurling grip, any ideas??

    playing golf for 15 years with a hurling grip and iv'e decided to change as my handicap has remained the same for the last 5 years 15, so i think its time to change, any tips, i would love to hear from anyone who has changed over from the hurling grip.

    Whats is your handicap and what level are you trying to get to?

    You will probably get a lot worse before you get better by changing your grip this radically.
    If you are not trying to get down to low single figures I wouldnt bother and would just work on short game and putting etc. (and whatever else stands out as needing work in your stats)

    you'l have to get the "wristy" swing out of your system. hurley grip is all wristy to get the club head speed. so going to standard grip will mean you'll prob lose huge distance at first. the shots will feel flat but gradually you'll build up the length and you will notice a huge difference in consistency.

    well worth it.
