    Hey Guys,

My auld lad is afraid of flying and my mother heard of a course that is run in Dublin Airport to help you conquer your fear of flying. I've googled it and I think that's the name of the course above but the only information I can find relates to 2002 or 2004. I can't find anything uptodate or from Aer Lingus themselves.

Has anyone heard about this? Do you have any information you could pass on?

    Many thanks.

I think Aer Lingus dropped the course some time ago. But I believe the woman who ran it still does courses herself. Or did anyway. She also wrote a book on the subject. She's a pyschologist: Dr Maeve Byrne Crangle; e-mail crangle@eircom.net

I knew her and her husband, years ago, she was a Hostess with Aer Lingus and ran their courses for them. A very nice woman.

Aer Lingus don't do these courses anymore. They ended them a number of years ago. There is a company from the UK that are associated with British Airways that run a similar course here in Ireland from time to time. You can find them at this web address here.

Can't either recommend them or not as I don't know a great deal about them but their employee profile seems impressive from their website. What I do know is that part of the course involves a short flight onboard a hired Aer Arann ATR aircraft starting and ending in Dublin airport at the end of the course day. It's pricey as you pay in sterling but I guess worth it if it works. Shop around and see.

If this lady is still running courses, I'd highly recommend her. I did the Aer Lingus course with her back in 2003/2004 and it was worth every last cent!!
