    Hi

I am on JSB at the moment.

I got a letter in the post this morning, saying something along the lines of "In accordance with the National Action Plan for Employment, unemployed persons under the 65 years of age are being contacted.

This is to assist you in obtaining employment.

Please attend your local FAS Placement Service office at such and such a date and time.

Failure to attend this interview will result in your continued entitlement to a Jobseekers payment being reviewed etc etc."

Has anybody had this letter in the door? What questions etc do they ask?

    Cheers

Thats a standard letter thats being used for yrs, basicially they want to help get you off the dole and into training or on a scheme, like Commmunity Employment or preferrable....back to work.

Turn up though, don't ignore it.

    Hey,
I had my interview for this today, and really it was just a walk through the FAS website, registering me with FAS, and then I was asked if there was any area of interest I'd like to do training in. I'm now signed up to do a ten week evening course in January in Office Management, which, while not the area I'm qualified in, will hopefully open a few more doors for me. I'm not certain if I stay on JSB for the ten weeks or get the FAS supplement because it's only 1 evening a week, but hopefully it'll be something useful to add to the cv. Has anyone here had any experience on the part time courses?
