how much would people need to invest in the quinn one

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 702 ✭✭✭Lexus1976

You can invest a certain amount every month and through in a lump sum. So it really depends on how much you can afford.

Ask them to send you out a brochure.

I was looking at these earlier in the year. The Bramlin acquisition was a good call for their cash flow. Plus with its stratigic location servicing Cameroon this is a good long term investment. It has on going projects in Russia which could have a lot of potential. Best of luck with it. :)

PCi should give possitive news with their 3rd well on the Ain Tsila ridge withinn the next few weeks and if markets take on board possitive news we could see some very decent upside with sp.

why are you buying on the lse or does this make any difference, the reason i ask is that i bought 4500 pci earlier this year but bought them in irish stock exchange.

    Hi Colm,

I bought them on the ISE but I'am quoting them in sterling for my own convenience, as most of my shares were purchased on the LSE.

Keeping a very close eye on this share, it could be my star performing equity

Interesting review here of an oil exploration company called Salamander Energy
review from last Saturday's Daily Telegraph-Questor column-link will not work

    Salamander Energy
    296.8p
A mid-tier oil exploration and production group's shares can rise irrespective of what is happening to global GDP, as drilling success means that projects are "de-risked" as progress is made on each individual well. The production aspect is important because it also means the business has cash coming through the door.
Newsflow from Salamander Energy, an oil and gas group drilling in south-east Asia, will be very strong this year.
The company is drilling 12 wells over the course of 2010, but it also has cash flow as it is producing oil. Daily production is expected to increase to 19,000 barrels of oil equivalent from the current 14,000. Note the group increased production by 57pc in the first half of 2009.
Analysts believe that increased production should almost double cash flow over the next 12 months. The company is also fully funded through its drilling schedule, so there are unlikely to be any dilutive placings to fund the programme.
This investment is not without risk – the share price performance next year is highly dependent on drilling success. If there are failures, the share price will fall.
Earlier this week the company released disappointing results from a gas well it was drilling in Thailand, but this is par for the course with exploration companies. The company is also currently loss-making at the pre-tax level.
However, there is a great deal of diversity in its drilling programme, with the group targeting different countries, basin types and sizes of field. This diversity means that should any individual well prove disappointing, there are plenty of targets left.

I like this company, but it did'nt make it into my final oil and gas picks. The partnership between Serica and Salamander has de risked its portfolio. While retaining a strong partner and reducing its financial exposure it looks a wise stragey as Salamender enters a very busy drilling period. Its share prices has great potential. Best of luck with it. :)
