mine was the same but swap Puyol for Pique who i think has had a great year and Fergie for Pep. Also had Torres instead of Eto]o but considering his injuries that probably wouldent be right.

not saying Pep is better than Fergie but this being the team of 09 and in that year he did manage a team to a treble in only his first full year of management so i think he has to get the nod

Maybe you could make it a bit more attacking? Stick Drogba in goal perhaps.

It's ruined by the restrictive formation on the site.

I'll try and pick the best players in each position last year, taking into account performances and silverware. (eg - Cesar was as good as Casillas, but Casillas won nothing last year, so I'll go with Cesar)

    Cesar

    --Alves
    Vidic
    Pique
    Cole---

    Gerard
    Toure

    ----Ronaldo
    Messi
    Iniesta----

    Forlan

Guardiola - don't see how anyone in their right minds could pick anyone but him.

Went with Forlan cos he's criminally underrated. Golden shoe last year, I think Eto'o, Villa, and Forlan are all equally capable shouts, but Eto'o faded from January onwards much more than the other two, even if he did win the treble. And if I picked Ibrahimovic I'd prob be called biased. Absolute bulls*it that you can't choose both Toure and Xavi.

I know, you can't pick both him and Toure, which is ridiculous. So I chose Toure-Gerard, as i'td be more balanced than Xavi-Gerard.

Its a load of bollix, I can't pick the team I'd want. Reason being I can't have Yaya Touré and Xavi in my team.

Oh i see. Its a 4-4-2. Wouldn't pay attention to EUFA on that. We should all play our own system to get them back for Henry. And would like to see them up against a Liverpool selection and see how they fare when Vidic inevitably gets sent off!

It'll never happen mate, unfortunately the UEFA team of the year is filled with Champions League stars, and Liverpool are a Europa League team. :p:p
