Business Address & Tax Relief

    Hi,
I am thinking to open a new company with a business address in my property.
Just wonder if I lose tax relief after registering it?
Also if I decide to rent property and register it with the PRTB, does it mean tax relief will not apply anymore?
    Thanks a million!

Assuming when you say property, you mean your home.

Using your home as the registered address of your business shouldn't effect your principal private residendce relief (ppr).

If you are renting a room in your home under the rent a room scheme your ppr won't be effected. If you are renting the whole of the house your ppr will be effected. CGT will be calculated on a time apportioned basis.

    Regards,
    Michael

Depending on what kind of business you are in, one option is to use a virtual office as the official trading address for your business.
