    doing an extn to dining/ kitchen - single storey.
    whats the recommended depth for typical foundation? clay soil, building will be 4"block cavity wall with slated roof ?

    300mm Deep and 900mm wide, fairly standard domestic foundation.
    Are you building it yourself?

    No, contractor doing the work, just was'nt sure about required depth of foundation. 900x300 used with some steel.

    Trying to figure out if can we afford Triple Glazing or settle for Double. Price difference of about 70% !

    would only see the triple glazing as worth it if your getting it really well insulated in all other aspects then consider the triple glazing as it is a expensive option.
