    Hi,

I've had my HDFS box for a few weeks now and technisat keep promising an update to let me record tv to an external hard drive/Usb stick. first update came two weeks ago but it still doesn't let me to record. I'm a bit annoyed as there own web site say it can do recordings. when I emailed them they said the update will be out this week yet no sign of it, it is a great box but they shouldn't say it can do thing that it can't. If anyone has managed to get there to record please let me know.

I know this is more of a rant than anything, but I think people should know before they buy it. Also if anyone can get ITV HD to work on it I would like to know.

    Thanks for read

    Hi Sean72,

I really like it, I mainly use it for just watching live tv don't use the record facility to much, but when ever I do its easy.

I tried to use a slightly old hard drive but its write speed was not fast enough for recording, I then tried a newer one and it works fine.

Its easy to navigate around and also quick channel change. Just to make sure you know it only has one tuner so if you recording something you can not watch a different channel.

Hope this is of help, let us know what you get in the end

Thanks for that its sounds like a runner then. I think I'll give it a go. Just one thing. I know you can only record what you watch but you can schedule recordings though??

i would have to recommend the Foxsat+ onto this list, mighty machine. I have only one input but able to record couple of things at same time if in same grouping (most of main channels are and +1 can be in different groups)

Yeah you can schedule records, you also can make it repeat records daily or weekly so if you want to record a series.
