Ordered from pixmania-should I be worried?

Ordered from pixmania today and have only since read scathing posts about bad experiences with them. Should I try to cancel or put my faith in them and hope it arrives in the next few days?

give it a few days ....if nothing happens contact them.....sometimes people get worried by all the negative reports they read - but you never hear about the hundreds or possibly thousands of satisfied customers.

my understanding of the pixmania situation is that their customer service is apalling - so you'll get whatever you ordered but if theres a problem with it ...best of luck !!!

Got stuff off them last week, would use them again with no hesitation.

Rubadub, how long did you have to wait from order to delivery?

Ordered 26 nov delivered 2 dec. This was the mid range delivery though, they have cheap one, then DHL 3-5day I think, and then expensive express. My item was only €1 more for the midrange one so I went for it. In the past I used standard and it was quick enough though.

I've used pixmania loads of times, started using them in 2005 I think and have never had a problem with them. Once my order was delayed but it was DHL/UPS's fault but it got to me eventually. Pixmania support weren;t the most helpful about that but the product still arrived and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

One thing to note though is they are not always the cheapest so make sure to shop arouns but they do have an amazing selection.

One final question,a tad off topic,i'm tempted to buy a camera from the dabs.ie site.are they reliable?

as far as I know they are ok but have never bought off them personally!

I have used them twice and found them excellent on price. Delivery was no better or worst than most other sites.

I would use them again without hesitation.

I've used both pixmania.ie and dabs.ie a few times over the years (including this year) and been lucky enough to have fast delivery (with a week if item was in stock) with no product/packaging or contents problems.

Haven't used them in a while, but had quite a bit previously. Only ever had good experiences with them.
